Nicole Salmon

 

Nicole Salmon brings extensive playing and coaching experience to Optimize’s volleyball program. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Nicole competed at the University of Missouri, where she earned All-American honors in volleyball and also spent a season competing with the Missouri women’s basketball program.

Following her collegiate career, Nicole transitioned into coaching and spent nine seasons as a collegiate assistant coach, including positions at McNeese State University and Indiana State University. She later served as the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Hill-Murray School for two seasons (2017–2018).

Nicole has coached athletes across a wide range of ages and skill levels, from elementary camps through 12U–18U club volleyball. Her coaching approach emphasizes strong fundamentals, proper technique, athletic development, confidence, and helping each athlete continue to progress in the game.

At Optimize, Nicole serves as our Volleyball Director, leading volleyball programming and providing individual lessons, small-group training, skills development, open gyms, camps, and team training opportunities.

Whether an athlete is just beginning volleyball or looking to take their game to the next level, Nicole is passionate about creating a positive, challenging training environment where athletes can develop their skills and confidence.
